Chastity Salvador is torn between two worlds when she catches herself watching television on Acoma Mesa, a spiritual place with no electricity. She discusses this double-edged sword with her friends, and explores how technology and new media will factor into Native lives: by either destroying a past or preserving a future.
In this edition of Audio Revolution students from Youth Media Project’s after school production team explore the topic of media and technology. Students examine their own media dependency, the impact of outdated technology on the environment, memes, facebook and video games and online gaming communities. One student unplugs from all technology for a week and documents her experience.
